CALIFORNIA - Scientists discover that the universe (the universe) covered by dark matter and dark energy. To that end, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) joined the European Space Agency (ESA) seeks to unravel the dark energy through Euclid mission.

Reported by MSN, Friday (25/01/2013), the mission involves Euclid space telescope to be launched in 2020. The Hubble Space is enabled to study the mysterious dark matter and dark energy pervading the universe.

NASA will contribute with 16 carries and four infrared detector equipment for one of the two telescope science instruments Euclid. The space agency of the United States was also selected 40 new members for the Euclid Consortium.

Euclid Consortium is an international body of 1,000 scientists who will oversee the mission and development. "NASA is very proud to participate in the mission of ESA.'s Mission is carried out to understand the mysteries of one of the greatest science today," said John Grunsfeld, NASA's Science Mission Directorate.

Astronomers think the material "normal" can be seen and touched only 4 percent of the universe (space). The rest consists of dark matter and dark energy.

Dark energy is considered very attractive and many researchers believe that this energy is responsible for the accelerating expansion of the universe. However, so far dark energy remains a mystery.

Euclid's mission is expected to shed more light on the darkest corners of the universe. Scientists will involve spacecraft weighing 2160 kilograms, which would have spent over six years to map and study up to 2 billion galaxies in the universe. (amr)
